Hello, and welcome to the April issue of "The Anvil"!

Stay inside this rainy season, and read this month's issue of The Anvil: Check out the windfall of fanfic, fanart, and essays for your perusal, along with some shiny fanvids in that (sickeningly) pastel basket. If you want some Easter eggs - well - Anndee might have some in this month's quiz; but you'll certainly find some gems in our news and community sections. And be sure to wrap up your experiences (in perhaps a pretty pink bow) by answering the poll in the question of the month. (Pretty please? With anvils on top?)

- The Deathly Hallows cover-art was released March 28th. Arthur Levine, editor of the Scholastic version of books, unveiled the cover on "The Today Show". (To view video of the segment, go here.) Bloomsbury also released the UK covers, and you can view those covers here. HPANA has graciously compiled large images of all the covers in their gallery.

- The Deathly Hallows page-count was released March 20th. The Scholastic version of DH will be 784 pages, and will be printed on recycled paper. To read more details, go here.

- Warner Bros. released info March 23rd that Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint are all signed on and confirmed to do the last two HP movies. Earlier that week, rumors were circulating (mainly from an article by Digital Spy) that Emma would not return. To read more of what WB had to say, go here.

- On March 3rd, early screenings of The Order of the Phoenix were shown in Chicago. HPANA has a list of reviews available, here.

- Entertainment Weekly will feature three different covers with each member of the Trio the first week of April. Inside will also give "information" about The Order of the Phoenix, some quotes from Dan, and a trivia quiz on HP. To read more and view the covers, go here.

- At La Fete du Timbre et de l'Ecrit 2007 in France, stamps featuring The Order of the Phoenix cast were released. To view images of the stamps, go here.

- Warner Bros. released new photos from OotP on March 29th. To view these, go to the Harmony Podcast gallery, here.

- Dan Radcliffe appeared on Friday Night with Jonathon Ross March 30th. He talked about Equus, and of course a bit about HP. To view video of his appearance, go here.

- December Boys, which stars Daniel Radcliffe, will open in US theaters on September 14 in limited release, and then September 28th world-wide. Reported by HPANA on March 25th, 2007.

- DanRadcliffe.com has uploaded new photos of Dan from recent photo shoots. To view those images, go here.

- EmmaWatson.net is hosting a "Shipper Music Video Contest". A winner will be chosen from both camps (H/Hr and R/Hr), and will recieve a set of French stamps. The deadline is May 13th. For further rules, go here. (Look for the news entry on March 13th.)

- The Harry/Hermione Fic Exchange is holding sign-ups for a June fic-exchange. The deadline is April 4th. For more info, consult their post here.

- The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation is hosting a contest for high school and college students for The Prisoner of Azkaban movie. There will be a series of quizzes on the movie, and a winner will be selected to win an iPod. Further details on how to enter are here.
