Hello, and welcome to the June issue of "The Anvil"!

If you're aiming to avoid that burning inferno in the sky, ditch the sunscreen and stay inside with us; in this latest edition of The Anvil: We've expanded once again to include new websites for fanfic reccs, along with filtering our Fanart section to feature, well - more art. (No worries, you can still find icons in the Extras section.) Harmonian of the Month is back, along with some stuff to fill that formerly empty Media section. While you're over there, hop to the Games section where there's not only a quiz, but a wordsearch, too. (And if you're that bored, also answer our question of the month.) - The Anvil's Catch-Phrase Banner Contest has been extended until June 30th, since we recieved only two submissions. Our only winner so far has been halfbloodprincess, who came up with our current front-page banner. We are still giving away cash prizes - and remember, you can enter more than once! - The Witherwings.net "ABC's of Harry and Hermione" fanfic contest had no winners, since there were no entrants.

- Witherwings.net has a June fanfiction contest called Summertime Loving. You can view the contest and its rules, here.

- Witherwings.net is also hosting another contest called War at Grimmauld Place, starting April 2nd and running through June 27th. You can view details and rules on the WW.net Contest Forum, here.

- Harmony_Fiction announced it's First Kiss contest winners on May 11th, 2006. You can read the list of winners, here.

- Harmony Forever is hosting a contest for a HarmonyCon logo. You can read the rules and requirements, here. The contest starts June 1st and ends June 22nd.

- The Harmony Podcast was updated once this month, on May 27th. As of this issue's release, a transcript has not yet been posted for Podcast #11; however, when it's available, it can found here. You can upload the latest podcast on iTunes, or listen to it here. Also, Harmony's Videocast called HTV was updated twice this month, on May 5th and 8th. - For those Harmonians attending Lumos 2006, there is an LJ group started to form a meet-up. You can view the group here.

- Slippyslope has a poll about OotP vs HBP. You can enter your vote, here.

- JK Rowling Coming to New York for Charity Reading. She will be reading from HBP, and will be featured along-side writers Stephen King and John Irving to benefit The Haven Foundation, created by King. Reported by HPANA on May 9th, 2006.

- Emma Thompson will be reprising her role as Professor Trelawney in Order of the Phoenix. Reported by HPANA on May 10th, 2006.

- Bloomsbury publishing director Liz Calder states that Book 7 will "likely" come out in 2007. Reported by HPANA on May 25th, 2006.

- All of the Young Marauders have been cast for Order of the Phoenix. Also, some surprising re-casting news - Helena Bonham Carter will be replacing Helen McCrory as Bellatrix Lestrange, as McCrory is expected to be "heavily pregnant" during filming. Both stories were reported by HPANA on May 25th, 2006.
