Hello, and welcome to the January issue of "The Anvil"!

To welcome in the New Year, we are all new and expanded this month - with a few new sections, and a bunch of new content! Not only do we have our usual fanfic recc's and essays, but we also have news, art, and extras to keep you occupied while ignoring this year's resolutions. Dear Ron and Luna,

I have this fan girl/ex-girlfriend called um... Minnie. We broke up at the end of last year, but she keeps clinging on to me. The problem is, is that I like this girl called... Harriet, and Minnie is her best friend. And another problem is that my best mate called... Rupert, is Minnie's brother, and he likes Harriet himself. I'm pretty sure that Harriet likes me because she hasn't sent birds to attack my head. So, how do I ask Harriet out, and how do I break it to Rupert and Minnie?

Ron: Do I know this guy?
Luna: Well, you've never been very observant...
Ron: About what? I don't know this guy -
Luna: We suggest that honesty is always the best policy.
Ron: Yeah, because obviously Harriet doesn't hate you - I've gotten the canaries once; although I couldn't say why...
Luna: Had nothing to do with making out all over the school, did it?
Ron: ...What?
Luna: *ahem* - BWEIHO, just tell the truth. Everyone would be better off knowing. Besides, Rupert really doesn't care for Harriet in that way, considering he talks mostly of... Luanne.
Ron: Do you know who he is? Who's Luanne?
Luna: *whistles and avoids eye contact*

Dear Ron and Luna,

I've liked this guy for forever, but he's never noticed me. So I used a love potion on him, and we were together for awhile. But then I realized how mean that was, so I stopped giving him the potion and he broke up with me on his own. Was giving him a love potion wrong? How can I get him to notice me without it?

Ron: Well, I say it's wrong! I accidentally took a love potion once. Bloody creepy, it was - lost my head and my lunch when I found out -
Luna: *Ahem* - just be yourself. If he likes you, and you're meant to be together, then he'll notice you, and it'll happen -
Ron: What is this boy's name? I should tell him - we should tell him - it's our responsibility, as advice-whatever's, to be honest with people -
Luna: Oh Ronald, don't you think you're being a little hard on the girl? I mean, she is -
Ron: No, I don't think so! She's messing with that chap's head! -
Luna: I mean, she is your sister, afterall.
Ron: We should.... What?!
Luna: *hums to herself and plays with her bottle-cap necklace.*
